CollisionMax Today & Tommorow Since 1980 over 250,000 vehicles have been successfully repaired at CollisionMax, and the company consistently earns the industry’s highest customer satisfaction rating. Joe Tornetta credits much of this achievement to “the expansion of our service centers in Pennsylvania and South Jersey and the strength and diverse abilities among the owners.”
Moving forward, the partners agree that their concerns are similar to everyone’s in the industry –lack of trained quality labor. “Not many people want to be technicians, we may need to look outside of the country,” Claudia says. “For every new entrant in the industry, three leave,” adds Jim Tornetta.
Since its inception and going forward, the special challenge CollisionMax faces is also its greatest asset — operating a family-owned business. “Family-oriented issues of intergenerational transitions, ownership, strong personalities and trust must work hand-in-hand with the business issues of finance, strategic planning, marketing, operations, laws and regulations,” Jim Tornetta explains. “As the family grows to second, third and fourth generations, these issues become more and more challenging. We help build strong family leadership teams within each generation to carry on established business traditions and develop new ones to meet changing times and markets,” he adds.
The future looks bright. CollisionMax can expect to achieve even greater success in the years to come,— perhaps another story that will span five decades and several generations. Each partner understands fully it will take hard work and dedication to see that become a reality. Rich Brigidi adds: “As long as we continue to produce quality work, keep up with changes in the industry and continue to have knowledgeable and dedicated people, this is the future of our success."
